The border converter is a free interactive and GPS supported multimedia guide. A total of three routes in the Green Belt tell stories of the division of Germany and the places on the former inner-German border. The Border Shifter guides you through the story on site, lavishly animated in image and sound!Users load a tour as a file onto their smartphone in advance. The multimedia tour is only played as soon as you are at the starting point of the tour. The tour can only be experienced on site, so put on your hiking boots and set yourself up for an immersive experience.The following tours are currently available:- EXCLUDED AREA (starting point at the Hötensleben border monument)- NEEDLEÖHR (starting point at Marienborn station)- BULLDOG & ILTIS (starting point at shaft Marie, Beendorf)The border hike was funded by the state of Saxony-Anhalt as part of the Green Belt culture promotion. The content of the tour was created in cooperation with the Marienborn Memorial to the German Division and the Beendorf Concentration Camp Memorial.
